Our application/administration fee is a one-time, NON-REFUNDABLE $100 fee that must be paid at the time of application submission. This fee covers August 2027- May 2028.

We operate from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a complimentary 15-minute grace period for pickup. After 5:15 pm., a $20 late fee will be applied after 5:15 pm. We ask that you satisfy all late fees within 24 hours. Also, as a preschool, we operate on an academic calendar year similar to Gwinnett County Public Schools. Our school year runs from August - May, and our program is intentionally structured around this academic schedule.

Yes. We use a customized curriculum created by our director, aligned with the Georgia Department of Education's Kindergarten Standards. Our curriculum incorporates all required Georgia state standards, ensuring that every child receives a high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning experience that prepares them for Kindergarten success.

Tuition is based on enrollment and not attendance. We like to keep our tuition payment schedule simple and consistent for our families. Tuition is due once a month, on the last Friday of each month, to cover the upcoming month. Having one consistent payment date allows families to plan ahead and eliminates confusion about multiple payment dates or varying weekly schedules. It also allows our scholl to maintain an organized and predictable billing process. Our goal is to make tuition expectations clear and straightforward while ensuring that our preschool can continue providing the high-quality educational experience, resources, and services our families expect. For all weather-related monitoring and school closures, we follow the Gwinnett County Public School District. If Gwinnett County schools are closed, we are closed.

At A Kid's Journey Learning Experience, we encourage regular attendance, and we bill tuition based on enrollment and not attendance. No credits are provided for sick days, vacation, or other absences.

Yes, all students are required to wear uniforms Monday-Thursday. Regular dress is appropriate for Fridays.

Yes, we follow Bright From the Start's sick policy, which states that if the child has a fever of 101F (38.3 °C) or higher with other signs of illness, the child will not be allowed to be present at school. In order to return, the child must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication, and showing no signs of illness. Also, if your child becomes sick during the day he/she will be moved to a quiet, separated area and monitored until they are picked up. Children who become sick during the day must be picked up within 1 hour of the facility notifying the parent. If we can not reach the parent(s), we will contact other authorized pick up persons on the list.

At this time, all enrolled students must be potty-trained before attending our program.

We use Bright Wheel. All families are required to download the Bright Wheel app for communication, daily updates, attendance, tuition payments, and more.

At A Kid's Journey Learning Experience, tours are based on availability. Please contact us through our website or call 470-484-6184 to check current openings and schedule a visit.

We do offer a one-time $60.00 sibling discount for families enrolling more than one child. The discount will apply to your second month. Example: $Tuition cost - $60.00=$1,120 The second month of enrollment.

The assessment helps us get to know your child better-how they learn, what they already know, and what support they may need. This way, we can make sure they start comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

Once you register your child, you will have access to Bright Wheel, and we have our closure dates listed on the calendar starting August 2026-June 2027. We also follow the Gwinnett County Public School calendar, with the exception of some early release dates.

Our tuition is competitive and reflects the quality and value of the educational experience we provide. While we are not a daycare, we also do not compare our learning experience to what a daycare center may offer. We are a preschool, and we pride ourselves on providing a high-quality early childhood educational experience that is intentional, structured, and designed to support each child's growth and development. With that level of educational commitment and service, our monthly tuition is $1,180. We know this tuition appropriately reflects the quality of our program and the experience we provide to our students and families. Families complete an online application, provide immunization records, the child's birth certificate, emergency forms, and contact information, and complete a brief developmental assessment so we can understand your child's learning needs.

We accept children aged 3 to 5 years old. Your child must have turned 3 years old on or before the first day of school, August 4, 2027.

At this time, we are only accepting full-time enrollment. Please check back with us, as some families' needs may change in the future.

Yes, there will be family-based projects required.

We only accept online payments ( credit or debit card) via the Brightwheel app. No other forms of payment will be accepted. This will ensure you receive the most accurate end-of-year report. Brightwheel does require a credit or debit card on file. AKJLE will never be able to view your card number.

As mentioned previously, we are a preschool and not a daycare. Daycares can enroll at any time of the year. As a preschool, our program is structured around an academic school year, rather than operating like a drop-in childcare facility or daycare. We want to ensure your child starts with us on Day 1 and experiences our curriculum from the very beginning. Our preschool curriculum is intentionally structured so that skills, concepts, routines, and developmental goals build progressivley throughout the school year.
